Northwestern Technical College Adjuct Instructors - Adult Education
Job Description:
Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time instructors in the adult education division. Both positions require teaching adult basic education students (grade level 0-8) and adult secondary education students (grade levels 9 – 12) reading, basic skills and GED preparation.
(1) Catoosa County – Monday through Thursday nights from 6 pm – 9 pm with an additional 2 hours per week paid for planning time for a total of 14 hours per week. Location – Shirley Smith Learning Center at the Benton Place campus.
(2) Walker County – Monday through Thursday mornings from 9 am – 1:30 pm with an additional 2 hours per week paid for planning time for a total of 20 hours per week. Location – 501 Carden Avenue, Rossville.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in education or a closely related field. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Reading, English, English Education, or a closely related field. Course work in adult education or working with special populations. Three to five years of experience teaching adults.
