Executive Director of Adult Education
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, or a closely related field. Three years of teaching or instructional delivery experience in an educational or related setting which must have included responsibility for curriculum design, development, and assessment, as well as the application of effective instructional delivery and student assessment techniques/methods. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
Job Description:
Description: Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full-time Executive Director of Adult Education. The duties of the Executive Director include, but may not be limited to:
- Establishing adult education programs for area individuals and employers
- Promoting the adult education program to public and private organizations throughout the service area
- Coordinating the development and implementation of curriculum and administering instructional services for Adult Education students including overseeing student records
- Preparing and administering the program specifications and budgets for the service delivery area
- Representing NTC at various internal and external meetings
- Creating and maintaining a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Education or a closely related field whose background/work experience includes a knowledge of adult learning techniques and delivery of educational services to an adult population. Prior supervisory experience. Background in financial management to include budget development and oversight responsibility, and contracts administration.
Starting Date:
June 1, 2008. This position is eligible for State of Georgia benefits.
